Director of Golf, Andrew Black, joined Collier’s Reserve Country Club in 2021. He came to us from Burlingame Country Club, in Hillsborough, California. Founded in 1893, he served as their 8th Head Golf Professional from 2017 - 2021. Previously, he spent 9-years at Top 100, Mayacama Golf Club, in Santa Rosa, California located in Northern California’s wine country. Andrew grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia and is a graduate of Clemson University. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Parks, Recreation, & Tourism Management and a Business Minor with the concentration area of Professional Golf Management. He is a TPI Certified Level 3 Golf Coach and thoroughly enjoys teaching the game to players of all abilities. Andrew is actively involved with PGA Magazine as they have published 6 of his best practices, and he has appeared in 6 different articles of their publication. Andrew has successfully mentored three Assistant Golf Professionals into Head Golf Professional positions and takes great pride in leading, recruiting, and coaching fellow staff members. He is on the Leadership Advisory Staff of Titleist & FootJoy and is a Titleist certified club fitter. He loves playing the game of golf with all members, and while not on the golf course, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and dog.
